Mit einer \u00fcberschaubaren Gruppe von ca. 15 Personen gab es eine Werksf\u00fchrung der BMW i3 Produktion. Das Besondere an diesem Fahrzeug ist, dass die Karosserie aus Karbonfasern besteht. Damit ist BMW gegenw\u00e4rtig die einzige Firma, die ein Fahrzeug mit diesem Material in Serie produziert. Karbon ist sehr leicht, damit ist die Karosserie des BMW i3 nur halb so schwer wie eine Karosserie aus Stahl. Dadurch kann Energie eingespart werden. Ein weiterer Vorteil von Karbon ist, dass es nicht rostet. Damit ist\u00a0 der Lackierprozess nur 30% so aufwendig wie bei herk\u00f6mmlicher Technologie. Gerade die Lackierung ist in der Automobilherstellung eine der wenig umweltfreundlichen Prozesse. Aber auch an andere Stelle wird bei den Materialien auf Nachhaltigkeit Wert gelegt. So sind die Stoffsitze aus recyceltem Kunststoff hergestellt. F\u00fcr den Gerbprozess der Ledersitze werden die Bl\u00e4tter von Olivenb\u00e4umen verwendet. Die f\u00fcr die Produktion notwendige Energie wird zu 100% aus erneuerbaren Energien gewonnen.
